Additional Products and Services:
Products: We believe Celuform products (all Celuform products are now guaranteed for 15 years) are the best on the market, they will not warp, rot, shrink, crack, discolour and are zero fire rated. We always recommend that full replacement systems are used. Available in white, expresso Brown or light oak. Celuform products are guaranteed for 15 years.
Bargeboards and fascias: We use Celuform Elite board which is 25mm thick and a celular (foamed) product.
Soffits: are 10mm thick flat board which are celular or 10mm thick hollow section tongue and grooved style. All rooves should be vented to allow air flow through the roof void.
Ventilation: We recommend all roof voids should be adequately ventilated. This can be achieved by either venting the soffit or by using 'over fascia vents'. We find the second option far superior as it is completely sealed and has a cleaner finish.
Cladding: We supply 100mm Open V' or 150mm Shiplap celular cladding.
Guttering: We use 'Terrain' rainwater systems which is without doubt the best PVC system available. A wide range of styles, round, square, ogee and supplied in black, brown, white and grey. We recommend fitting DrainSmart units on all our installations where appropriate and will supply FREE OF CHARGE. We do not advocate capping over existing fascias, soffits etc. as you will be covering over any potential problems which possibly cannot be seen. Also covering over can accelerate the rotting process causing greater problems in the future.
Standard Procedure:

1. Once old fascias are removed, rafter ends are checked for true and are trimmed if nessecary.
2. All rafter ends are treated with a quality timber preservative.
3. Any defective sarking felt is removed and replaced with a PVC equivalent.
4. Prior to fitting of the soffit, timber noggins are installed to provide a flat and solid base to attatch them to.
5. All box ends are completed in one piece.
6. We always use relevant trims and accessories for a perfect finish.
7. All rubbish is removed leaving the site clean and tidy.
8. All staff are employees of the company - we do not use sub contractors.
NEW PRODUCT
Just two basic principles make GutterSmart so effective:
The first is that it is a solid cover over the gutter through which nothing can penetrate.
The second is the use of the Coanda Effect, first discovered by Romanian aerodynamicist Henri-Marie Coanda (1885-1972) in 1930 to ensure that the water is drained away by the gutter beneath.
Coanda observed that a stream of air (or any other fluid, including water) tends to follow a neatly curved surface. You can demonstrate this effect yourself by holding the back of a spoon lightly into a stream of water from a tap. The water will bend round the back of the spoon. (If you hold the spoon light in your fingers you will feel it pulling into the stream which is the same effect that makes an airplane fly!) This effect is the reason why window and door sill have drip edges, to stop rainwater running back to the wall and causing damp. It is also the reason why some teapots drip from their spouts!
There are a number of other key factors that ensures the GutterSmart system is effective in keeping debris of gutters while allowing the water to flow in.
The anodized surface of GutterSmart system has very low oil/wax content and is slightly porous. This helps reduce surface tension of the water which under normal circumstances would bead, but with the GutterSmart system, the water forms into a micron thick layer which adheres to the contour of the bend, flowing over the surface into the gutter below.
Larger objects such a leaves needles that are likely to have been washed down from the roof are unable to remain in suspension as the water travels around the bend, because of the ‘thinness’ of the layer of water, and as such are expelled from the surface onto the floor below.
